Privacy Policy — Sales Tax Saver
Sales Tax Saver is published by Pixiy LLC ("Pixiy", "we", "us"). The app helps you estimate the cheapest realistic way to buy an item — ship it home vs. drive to a lower-tax pickup — by factoring in sales tax, gas, and your time. This policy explains what information the app handles and what it does not.
Information the app handles
- Location. If you use the "My location" feature, the app reads your device's location (latitude/longitude) and sends those coordinates to a mapping service (BigDataCloud) to convert them into a ZIP code, so it can estimate your local sales-tax rate. Your coordinates are not stored by us and are not linked to any account or identity. The feature is optional — you can instead just type a ZIP or city, and the app works fully without location access.
- On-device settings & history. Your trip assumptions, item inputs, and the
comparisons you act on are saved in your device's local storage (under
sts:*keys) so the app remembers them. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it. - No personal information. The app does not ask for or collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or any account credentials.
Third-party services
The app relies on a few services to function. They only receive what's needed to do their job:

We never receive your payment card details — tips are handled entirely by Apple or by Buy Me a Coffee on their own pages.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your data for marketing.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
Your choices
- Location: deny or revoke location permission in your device settings at any time — the app still works; just type a ZIP or city instead.
- Stored data: clear it by clearing the app's data (mobile) or your browser site data (web), or by uninstalling the app.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Data security & retention
Because the app keeps your settings and history only on your own device and does not maintain user accounts or a server-side database of your data, you remain in control of it. Network requests to the services above use encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
